With an ambition of lifting Sweden to new heights, it’s no coincidence that the Motum group of lift companies have a proud history stretching all the way back to the 1970s for some of its subsidiaries.
With more than eleven independent subsidiaries and market leaders all over Sweden, Motum has labelled itself the sustainable lift group, favouring modernisations rather than new installations.
We try to change the lift business. The lift business is very closed and is in need of initiatives to make it more open, in that way we share similar values when it comes to how we view the lift industry.

Modusystem was founded by Erik Scholts in 2007 and develop maintenance tools for lift technicians called ”Modu-tool”, as well as the more recent product ”Modu-view”.
On December 16th the NeXt group General Assembly will take place online this year due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
CAN in Automation invited to the CiA Technology Days with the topic "CANopen in Lift Applications (CiA 417)". The event will take place online. The CiA Technology Days give an insight into the status and future of CANopen in Lift Applications.
The 4-hour events are planned twice, at different starting times, on October 06 and 09, 2020. Thus, interested parties from all over the world can participate at a suitable local time. The second day will be identical to the first day.
On September 10th Jörg Hellmich will inform about the NeXt group at the VFA information day Smart Elevators 2020 in Stuttgart Germany.
On October 15th-18th the Interlift 2019 took place in Augsburg / Germany and NeXt group had there a stand too. The board opened the stand and welcomed the first visitors.
It was a pleasure to meet visitors and to discuss their ideas of open interfaces + hardware and software.
Some of the NeXt group members had an own stand on the Interlift and informed also the visitors about NeXt group.
On September 17th the NeXt group General Assembly took place in Ratingen / Germany. NeXt group members from five countries came together to vote for the board and a new financial supervisor discuss current projects, ideas for future projects and to plan marketing activities of the group.
